New Tech Makes Roborock's Qrevo Curv an Elegant, Unstoppable Cleaning Machine

New Tech Makes Roborock's Qrevo Curv an Elegant, Unstoppable Cleaning Machine

Vacuuming isn't always fun. There's the tangled cords, the noise, and the dust, not to mention the mess that accumulates between cleanings. That's why, for nearly three decades now, we've often outsourced this work to robots–those circular, free-moving, hoverboard-like devices. While the technology has improved since the early days of automated vacuuming, frustrations persist for many robot vacuum users. Maybe your robot isn't smart enough to navigate treacherous terrain like a floor with stray socks. Or maybe it gets incapacitated by a clump of hair.

Roborock has the solution: Just say "Hello Rocky." That's the voice command to summon the Roborock Qrevo Curv from its stylish dock, which looks like it's part of your home design. The Qrevo Curv looks like a sleek white disc, but underneath it's loaded with an anti-tangle system to suck up hair and a lifting chassis that adapts to different floor types–all so you can actually forget about vacuuming.

If you buy the Qrevo Curv now through October 6, you get a Dyad Air wet-dry vacuum, which retails for more than $300, for free. With elegant, interruption-free cleaning, it will have you welcoming your new robot overlords.

The Qrevo Curv's Dual Anti-Tangle System uses a main brush and a side brush to work together in harmony to clean floors without any snags. Here's how it works: the main DuoDivide brush features two side-by-side bristle rollers with spiral blades that push hair toward the center. That's where a central dustbin uses 18,500-pascal HyperForce suction to swallow up debris. Meanwhile, the FlexiArm Arc Side Brush uses its asymmetrical shape and centrifugal force to push hair to the ends of the long bristles and into the path of the main brush. The side brush extends to sweep messes from tough-to-reach corners.

Robot vacuum users get frustrated with hair wrapping around the main brush, getting tighter and tighter until it forces you to stop vacuuming and untangle a new mess. That's not a problem for the Qrevo Curv. Roborock tests have shown that it has a 100 percent hair removal rate and zero percent hair tangling rate. The vacuum is the ideal tool for long hair that gathers on the ground, especially from your friendly four-legged friends. The Qrevo Curv operates at a volume as low as 55 decibels so that it won't freak out pets, and has an option to video call your pets so you can reassure them mid-cleaning cycle if you're not home.

The Qrevo Curv also features dual mops that rotate at 200 rpms to ensure that your floors get a scrub that will leave them spotless. Like the side brush, the FlexiArm Mop extends to swab edges and corners. The dock has a self-driven cleaning module of rotating scrapers and hot water to clean grease off your mops, without you having to get your hands dirty. It also circulates warm air to dry the mop when the vacuum is not in use.

A robot vacuum that picks itself up off the floor

Roborock was one of the first in the robot vacuum space to introduce a liftable chassis system, meaning the vacuum can raise its frame to navigate traditional non-flat–and, let's face it, sometimes chaotic–home environments. The Qrevo Curv introduces the AdaptiLift Chassis with three-wheel control, which enables the entire vacuum to raise by 10 millimeters. That height helps clean mid-to-long pile carpets or thick rugs by enabling the suction force to get deep into the fibers without getting clogged up in those tiny loops.

The Qrevo Curv uses a sensor to detect steps on the floor of your home–the kind you might not even think of as steps, but often sometimes prove an insurmountable challenge for other robot vacuums. The omnidirectional wheel, which pilots the device, senses barriers and automatically lifts itself up to four centimeters to cross them smoothly. That makes the vacuum versatile when moving from carpet to marble or tile or another hard surface.

The two other wheels can also rise–lifting the front, rear, left side, or right side–on their own to solve the age-old foes of robot vacuums: chair and table legs, or the random ill-placed object. It also uses a camera and AI obstacle recognition to avoid things like shoes or wads of paper, and PreciSense LiDar Navigation to create a map of your home to optimize cleaning. With this arsenal of mechanical and digital weapons, the Qrevo Curv just won't get stuck.
