Netflix Announced All These Games at Its Geeked Week Presentation

Netflix Announced All These Games at Its Geeked Week Presentation

At Thursday's Geeked Week presentation, CNET Editors' Choice award winner Netflix announced a handful of new games coming to its gaming service soon. While Netflix announced some of these games at Gamescom in August -- like Monument Valley 3 -- other games are new, like Blood Line: A Rebel Moon Game.

Netflix is virtually synonymous with streaming movies and TV shows, such as Black Mirror and Stranger Things, but your subscription also gives you access to mobile games you can play on your iOS or Android device. If you subscribe to Netflix (which starts at $7 a month), you can play these games and many more without ads or in-app purchases at no additional charge.

Here are all the games Netflix announced at its Geeked Week. You can also check out the games the company announced at Gamescom.

Monument Valley

Available now.

Netflix

Guide a silent princess through a land of M.C. Escher-style designs in this award-winning puzzle game. Overcome optical illusions and impossible objects as you search for forgiveness of something. This version of the game includes the original title and two expansions, Forgotten Shores and Ida's Dreams.

Spongebob: Bubble Pop F.U.N.

Available now.

Are ya ready kids? Help Spongebob Squarepants solve colorful puzzles in this bubble shooter game. The ship the Flying Dutchman has blown bubbles all over Bikini Bottom, and it's up to you and Spongebob to rid the nuisances from the city.

Battleship

Available: Sept. 24

Get ready to play this nautical board game on the go. Arrange your ships in a grid to evade detection, and try to sink your opponent's ships. An arsenal of special weapons gives this game a new tactical twist as you seek glory on the high seas.

Monument Valley 2

Available: Oct. 29

Ustwo Games

Return to the impossible designs of Monument Valley in this standalone sequel. Guide Ro and her daughter through mind-bending puzzles on a journey that explores motherhood and personal growth. Manipulate the environment to clear your path or discover a new way forward.

Monument Valley 3

Available: Dec. 10

Dive back into the world of Monument Valley in this Netflix-exclusive game. Set sail as Noor, a lighthouse keeper's apprentice, as she searches for a new source of power before the light from the world fades away. The journey will take you through a diverse world filled with intriguing characters and whimsical environments -- and a goldfish that can swallow your boat whole. You can preregister for the game now.

Blood Line: A Rebel Moon Game

Available: 2025

Lead a covert rebellion against the menacing Motherworld in this game based on the Rebel Moon film series. You and your friends can play as one of four classes in a fight to take back your home world of Krypt. This game is a standalone story set in the Rebel Moon universe, so you don't necessarily have to be familiar with the films to enjoy the game. And you can join the open beta now to try the game.

Squid Game: Unleashed

Coming soon.

This 32-player party showdown game features challenges that fans of the series will recognize -- like Red Light, Green Light -- and some all new ones. Team up with a friend to take down the competition and overcome deadly obstacles, but just know they could betray you in the end.

While Netflix announced that Squid Game's second season will premiere on Dec. 26, it's unclear when the streamer will release this game. Netflix has released other games based on popular series on or around the same date as the premiere of those series -- like games based on the reality shows like Too Hot to Handle -- so I would expect this game to be available around the end of the year.

Civilization 6

Coming soon.

Take-Two Interactive Software

While you wait for Civilization 7 to launch in February, you can revisit the last installment of the series on Netflix soon. Build sprawling cities, forge alliances and wage war throughout the ages in this turn-based strategy game. This version of the game also comes with all the expansion packs and content included in the Platinum Edition of the game -- which includes civs like Persia and Nubia, and game modes that add more fantastical elements like secret societies and mythical heroes.

Street Fighter 4: Championship Edition

Coming soon.

Take control of 32 world-class fighters and test your mettle against others from around the world in this mobile fighting game. iOS and Android cross-play is exclusive to the Netflix version of this game, so you can compete against even more players. If you're new to the game, you can fight your way through various tutorials that will set you on the road to victory.
