Laptops can be pretty expensive, especially if you're looking for one with all the bells and whistles. But if you're looking for something a little more simple, we have a great deal for you. The Asus VivoBook 15 slim laptop is an already affordable option that just got even more budget-friendly with Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days event just around the corner. Right now it is down to just $400, a solid $100 price cut and a new Amazon low price for this machine.
For this sort of price, you're not going to get top-of-the-range specs but the VivoBook 15 features a large, 15.6-inch HD display and a capacious 512GB SSD, which is good for this price range. its plastic chassis also feels a little more premium than other budget laptops, according to CNET reviewer Matt Elliott, and a fingerprint sensor is a nice inclusion for a budget option.
Inside, its specs are nothing to write home about but there are "no deal-breaking misfires," according to Elliott, with a 1.7GHz Intel Core i5-1240P processor, Intel Iris Xe graphics and 8GB of RAM. Ports offered include USB-C, USB-A, HDMI and a headphone jack, with Wi-Fi 6 connectivity on board.
